By Greg Tarr -- TWICE, 10/2/2003

Redmond, Wash. — Nintendo reported sales of its GameCube home video console have more than quadrupled since it cut the suggested retail price to $99.99 last week.

Nintendo plans to follow the price cut by introducing over 100 new titles before the end of the year. One of the hottest titles is expected to be Mario Kart Double Dash!!.

Nintendo will support the products with a newly announced $50 million advertising and marketing campaign focused on the tag line, "who are you?" The “who are you" campaign is part of a total $100 million marketing push through the end of the year, Nintendo said.
