Nikon Promo Taps Sex In The City Star

As part of the fanfare for the company's first mid-level digital camera aimed at a mass audience, Nikon has hit the ground rolling with a specially equipped van and its new CoolPix 775, which recently began shipping.

The company plans to spend 775 hours visiting 12 cities, starting in New York and ending in San Francisco, touting the camera and bringing its high end brand to the mass consciousness.

The company is also sponsoring a funniest photo contest for consumers, who can submit digital photos to Nikon's Web site. The winning photographer will win a private party with "Sex and the City's" Kim Cattrall, two nights in New York City and a Coolpix 775.
