Best Buy Names 'Partners Of The Year'

Minneapolis-Consumer electronics retail giant Best Buy announced top vendors who it said contributed to its success throughout the past year.

The retailing chain presented its "Best of the Best" merchandising award to Hewlett-Packard for its printers, scanners, computer hardware and peripherals.

Winners were selected from criteria including year-over-year revenue growth, gross margin return on inventory, share of Best Buy's business within the category, returns, shipping compliance, cost control and return on investment.

Best Buy also selected "Partner of the Year" award winners from each merchandising category and service support area within the company. Winners include Cisco Systems Inc., Compaq Computer Corp., Microsoft Corp., Panasonic Company National, Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc., Recoton Corp., Sony Electronics Inc., Toshiba America Consumer Products, Whirlpool Corp and Yamaha Electronics Corp.
