LAS VEGAS — Lexicon is showing a power amplifier and an A/V preamplifier and processor during International CES in North Hall meeting room N240 and 242.
The ZX-7 power amplifier provides 300 watts per channel into 8 ohms (450 watts per channel into 4 ohms), the company said.
The ZX-7 was specifically designed to complement Lexicon's MC series of digital controllers, and can become part of a high-end stereo or multichannel home entertainment system, the firm said.
The ZX-7 features a fully balanced power amplifier from input to output with completely symmetrical circuit design. With seven channels, this translates into 14 separate amplifier circuits per chassis, the company said.
The ZX-7 also employs heavy-duty, chassis-mounted input and output connectors including balanced audio inputs via RCA or XLR connectors, the company said.
The Lexicon ZX-7 power amplifier is available at a suggested retail of $7,999.
The MV-5 processor is an A/V preamplifier and processor that combines features available in the flagship Lexicon MC-12 HD; the MV-5 can accommodate a pair of HDMI source devices, such as a DVD player and HDTV tuner, and can connect directly to a PC via USB, enabling the control and playback of streaming audio files.
With an optional dock accessory, iPod owners can play their iPod music through the MV-5, the company said.
The unit is capable of playing audio stored on computers and iPods via the MV-5's USB port. In addition, the optional D-1 dock allows users to play audio files from an iPod, but also facilitates navigation of iPod menus using the intuitive remote control.
Suggested retail is $2,999.
