Radar Best Sellers

By Amy Gilroy -- TWICE, 11/8/2004

Radar detector sales are expected to march at a steady rate of approximately 1.4 million to 1.5 million units this year, similar to the past few years, said suppliers.

Of note this year is a slight shift to higher-priced units according to Bel, Escort and Cobra. Bel and Escort say they have also seen unexpected success for custom-installed remote models, which sell for upwards of $1,500.

Radar detector suppliers are also finding success with sleeker styling and blue LED models, as well as new POP detectors.

Here are some of the best-selling models expected to be key movers in the fourth quarter.
