CTIA Readies For Convention

ORLANDO, FLA. — The Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association (CTIA) is gearing up here for its Wireless 2002 convention, scheduled for March 18-20.
Keynote speakers include Lucent president Patricia Russo, VoiceStream chairman John Stanton, EarthLink chairman Sky Dayton, Intel chairman Andy Grove, and Ronald Smith, senior VP of Intel's wireless communications and computing group.
Other keynotes include FCC chairman Michael Powell and Nancy Victory, administrator of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration.
The featured guest speaker is Mikhail Gorbachev, former president of the former Soviet Union.
A fashion show highlighting wearable wireless and Internet technology is planned.
