Tecnozone Zooms Into Town

By TWICE Staff -- TWICE, 1/8/2002

New kid in town Tecnozone is introducing a number of Tecno-brand hands-free phone car-kit accessories, including Spyder, Rover, Freedom, Butterfly and Defender products.

Top-of-the-line Spyder is a fully universal full duplex hands-free cellphone kit with stereo speaker and privacy feature. Cradles are sold separately at a suggested $19.95. Spyder offers a high-quality vent mount to ensure mobility. Adapter cables are sold separately. Suggested retail is $99.95, and availability is the first quarter.

The premium full duplex deluxe universal hands-free Rover offers a front-mounted extra-large speaker for enhanced quality sound. It also includes volume control, noise reduction and extra large cradle designed to fit any phone. Suggested retail is $79.95, and these are currently available.

Freedom, at a suggested $69.95, is currently available. The unit is fully universal and includes speaker, universal gooseneck cigarette adapter and charger and uni-directional microphone.

Butterfly offers a universal cigarette adapter for ease of in-car use. It has an LED light to verify charging and adapter cables are included. Suggested retail is $24.95, and availability is the first quarter from the New York-based company.

Defender is a fully universal entry-level speaker designed to amplify sound that comes out of the speaker of a cellphone. Included in the Defender package is a 12-inch ear bud for private hands-free conversations while operating a vehicle.

The Defender hands-free cradle puts the cellphone in one spot so it is not lost in the car. The extended speaker has an 18-inch cord to separate it from the microphone to reduce feedback or echo. The Defender does not use an external microphone, just the microphone of the cellphone. Suggested retail also is $24.95, and the unit is available.
