GE/Sanyo Upgrades Charger Program

By Staff -- TWICE, 9/29/2003

Sanyo Energy U.S.A., makers of GE/Sanyo batteries and chargers, is offering a new and improved Super Quick Charger that is lighter, smaller and more portable than the previous generation charger.

The unit, which has a pop-up plug, and comes with new 2100mAh nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) cells for high drain applications like digital cameras, charges NiMH or nickel-cadmium (NiCd) cells in both AA or AAA sizes.

Another advantage of the new smart charger, said Sanyo, is its protection against damage due to primary batteries, such as alkaline or heavy duty, being inserted by mistake.

The new program offers a 1-hour NiMH/NiCd charger with two 2100mAh AA batteries at a suggested $34.99 retail or a 1-hour NiMH or NiCd charger with four 2100mAh batteries at a suggested $39.99 retail.
