Vantage Point, Peerless Announce Distribution Agreement

By Jeff Malester -- TWICE, 9/14/2005

New York — Audiovisual mounting solutions companies Vantage Point and Peerless Industries have announced the formation of a strategic distribution agreement by which the two will combine their strengths in the consumer and commercial markets to offer respective customers what the two companies call the strongest portfolio of mounting products, service and support available in the industry.

The distribution agreement will leverage Vantage Point’s expertise in the consumer market and Peerless’ strong foothold in the commercial market to deliver complementary flat panel, projector and CRT mounting solutions.

The combination of Vantage Point’s international reach and strong brand recognition in the retail market with Peerless’ design and engineering proficiency, extensive manufacturing capabilities and training and technical support programs will enable both companies’ resellers, installers and retailers to fulfill virtually any audiovisual mounting requirement, said the companies.

“This is a mutually desired team effort and we are pleased to be combining efforts with Peerless,” said Mick Mulcahey, Vantage Point’s president. “By utilizing each other’s strengths, we can immediately improve our competitive position in the marketplace offering more to our customers and creating stronger distribution as we move forward.”

According to Mike Campagna, president of Peerless Industries, “The increasing use of visual display products both in the workplace and in the home has caused a tremendous surge in the mounting solutions business.

“The distribution agreement with Vantage Point is a necessary step to keep the industry moving forward. In addition, it will allow Peerless to better service the demands of our growing customer base in both of these markets.”

The distribution agreement between Vantage Point, based in Santa Fe Springs, Calif., and Chicago-based Peerless Industries is scheduled to go into effect in the first quarter of 2006.
