XM Has Record Sub. Month

by Amy Gilroy -- TWICE, 4/3/2005

Washington - XM Satellite Radio announced April 1 that it hit 3.77 million subscribers during the first quarter of 2005, adding more than 540,000 new subscribers.

XM said the quarter "was the best first quarter in the history of XM," according to president and CEO Hugh Panero. It represented a 68 percent increase in new net subscribers compared to the first quarter of 2004, when XM recorded 321,675 new net subscribers.

XM attributed some of the growth to its coverage of Major League Baseball and new products such as the Delphi MyFi portable.
