TALKBACK:

In response to Sony Deploys Watermarked-Logo Program, an authorized dealer: "Honestly, who is fooling who? Sony has fallen victim to a Netenforcers sales pitch. Watermarking images may stop some sellers from using Sony's pictures, but will not stop trans-shipping or sales by unauthorized dealers. All it will do is add addtional expenses to Sony that will be paid for by the dealers (and consumers). NetEnforcers leads manufacturers down this expensive road by falsely reporting to the manufacturer that anybody that uses an image must be an unauthorized sale, including people selling used stuff on eBay. Let's face it, people should be able to sell their used stuff, and why not let them use a good photo of the item? What a big waste of money for Sony."

In response to HTSA Confirms Blu-ray Support, Kol, AV Sales, music teacher: I think an organization like HTSA backing Blu-ray is at the very least foolish on their part. Essentially what it adds up to is someone telling their customer what they can and can't have. I work for a retailer carrying both formats, and we're doing well in both, with HD DVD consistently outselling Blu-ray players. For people who think it's because of price, I should add that we sell more of the HDXA2 at $999 cdn than we do of the BDPS1 at $799 cdn.

Software monitors your conversation, looking for keywords which, when spoken, will trigger relevant advertising to pop up on screen. It also uses certain demographic information you provide — gender, age range and ZIP code — to ensure relevancy.
