Int'l CES Tops List Of '01 Trade Shows

Staff -- TWICE, 5/27/2002

The 2001 International CES topped the Tradeshow Week 200, making it the largest trade show in the U.S. and Canada as ranked by the publication.

The 2001 CES jumped six spots from its 2000 slot to claim the top spot. Gary Shapiro, CEA president/CEO, welcomed the award but noted that several bi-annual and tri-annual events were not held last year. He added, "In any case, we have certainly become the largest annual North American trade show. Even as we celebrate our success ... we are focused on growing media, international and financial analyst attendance for the 2003 event."

The dates for next year's show are Thursday, Jan. 9 through Sunday, Jan. 12 in Las Vegas.
