Panasonic Launches New SD Camcorder

Secaucus, N.J. — Panasonic provided more details on its previously announced SD-based camcorder.

The new SDR-S150 will ship in September with a suggested retail price of $999.

The unit will include a 2GB SD card and will work with the recently announced 4GB SDHC card. Using the new 4GB SDHC, the camcorder can record up to 3 hours and 20 minutes of video in LP mode.

The SDR-150 is a 3CCD model with a 10x optical zoom Leica Dicomar lens with optical image stabilization. It offers a 2.8-inch LCD, PictBridge compatibility and can double as a Web camera.
