Casio Adds Two Digicams with YouTube Mode

By TWICE Staff -- TWICE, 8/28/2007

Dover, N.J. — Casio will add two more digital cameras to its lineup with a YouTube capture mode in September.

The Exilim EX-V8 and Z1080 both incorporate the recently announced YouTube capture mode, which formats video at the optimum size and quality for the online video site. The cameras are also bundled with software for uploading videos to YouTube.

Casio said it will have the marketing exclusivity for the YouTube feature during this holiday season. Models offering the YouTube mode will be emblazoned with a YouTube logo.

Both cameras feature 11MB of internal memory and can record H.264 format video with electronic video stabilization. For still images, the camera features face-detection technology, blur reduction and an anti-shake DSP.

The 10.1 megapixel EX-Z1080 will feature a 3x zoom, a maximum sensitivity of ISO 6,400, a 2.6-inch widescreen LCD, and a 7 fps burst mode when recording 2-megapixel images. It will retail for a suggested $279 and be available in gray, black, blue pink.
