Electric Fuel Ships PDA Power Cells

Staff -- TWICE, 4/30/2001

New York — Electric Fuel will ship Instant Power chargers for PDAs in the second quarter of 2001.

The new product lineup includes a charger for the Palm V handheld computer that delivers up to eight full charges, and chargers for Compaq iPAQ Pocket PCs, the Handspring Prism and Visor models and Novatel Minstrel V wireless modems. Chargers for HP Jornada and Casio Cassiopeia models will be available soon, Electric Fuel said.

The pocket-sized Instant Power charger, which weighs less than three ounces, plugs directly into the PDA, allowing for use anywhere an electrical outlet is not readily available.

The Instant Power charger product line also includes models for cellphones from Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Ericsson, Panasonic, Siemens and Philips, as well as Internet-enabled models.

A complete Instant Power charger kit, including reusable SmartCord, is $19.95 suggested retail. Instant Power cartridges are $9.95 suggested retail.
