RaySat In Need Of Installers

By Amy Gilroy -- TWICE, 10/24/2005

RaySat, which supplies a low-profile automobile satellite TV/antenna system for SUVs and minivans, is setting up an installer network.

The company is looking for 12-volt installers with SEMA or MECP certification to train to install its SpeedRay 1000 system that is sold through RV and DBS retailers.

RaySat also manufactures the SkyBox satellite TV car system sold by Audiovox.

Sales and marketing VP Ken Redman said an authorized installer can earn $300 to $500 per installation. The company hopes that by selling its SpeedRay through DBS stores, customers will be encouraged to purchase satellite TV for their car.

According to Frost & Sullivan research, over 1 million mobile satellite TV systems will ship annually by 2010, RaySat said.

The RaySat SpeedRay 1000 is compatible with DISH Network and other DBS providers. It has a suggested retail price of $2,295.
