PlanOn Introduces Portable Scanner

PlanOn Systems Solutions showed its line of portable scanners at International CES. Being shown for the first time was the DocuPen R700+.

The company called this a next-generation portable scanner designed for students and business use.

The unit has 4MB of internal memory, enough to store 200 pages of content. It is about the size of a pen and weighs less than 2 ounces and is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. R700+ is bundled with Paperport optical character-recognition software that can connect to Outlook, Notepad and Photoshop.

The DocuPen R700+ has a $199 suggested retail.
