Toshiba To Launch 3rd Gen HD DVD Players

By Greg Tarr -- TWICE, 8/3/2007

Wayne, N.J. – Toshiba will launch in October a third generation line of HD DVD players, consisting of three models with retails running from $299 to $499.

Word of the line ran prematurely on Amazon.com Friday, and was quickly taken down after reports started spreading on the Internet.

A Toshiba spokesman said the company could not issue any product details at this time.

The new models will replace currently available HD DVD models. According to the Amazon posting, the models will include the new entry HD-A3 ($299), the HD-A30 ($399) and the top-of-the line HD A-35 ($499).
