MTX Debuts Contractor HT Speakers

LAS VEGAS — MTX Audio is unveiling at International CES a line of custom home theater speakers for contractors at booth 21723.
With nine new models in the MTX Blueprint Contractor series designed specifically for home theater applications, these custom in-wall and in-ceiling speakers are a good balance between performance, affordability and a stealthy appearance, according to the company. They are engineered using proprietary MTX technology. And because the engineering is done by MTX's acoustic engineers from the ground up, these speakers offer a higher level of performance than higher-priced competitive products, the company said.
The new Theater models have features such as pivoting dome tweeters, a front-mounted tweeter level switch, IR remote knockout and video shielding on select models in the line, giving the listener more mounting location options. In addition to a variety of 5.25-inch, 6.5-inch and 8-inch in-ceiling and in-wall models, there is a specialty LCR for front- and center-channel applications and an in-wall subwoofer. The 8-inch in-wall subwoofer adds a boost to the low frequencies, creating a full sound without taking up any floor space. The full line of MTX custom home products offers a solution to users looking for high-fidelity audio without sacrificing home décor, said the company. Pricing is available at the booth.
