X-OOM Intros Internet Radio Recording Software

by Doug Olenick -- TWICE, 12/5/2005

X-OOM Software has developed an application that allows Internet radio content to be downloaded and stored onto a PC and then downloaded onto a portable music player or USB drive.

The X-OOM MP3 radio recorder gives consumers access to 6,000 music streams and the ability to record up to 20 channels simultaneously. Much like a DVR, the software can be set to record at specific times, the company said. It saves the streams as individual MP3 files, which can then be shifted to a portable device. The title shipped in late November with a $29 suggested retail price and is available direct from X-OOM's online store.

Other features include the ability to build a music library, WAV-to-MP3 converter, CD burning and ripping software and an audio editor.
