Barkan Bows TV Mounts For Plasmas And LCDs

By Staff -- TWICE, 6/19/2006

Barkan is debuting models #43 and #44, the newest additions to the company's lineup of mounts. The pair is designed for LCD and plasma screens of 37 inches to 50 inches.

Designed to provide attractive, yet minimalist, solutions, the #43 and #44 mounts offer three and four pivot points, respectively, for maximum viewing pleasure. The company's Quick Connect mechanism is meant to allow self-mounting by a single, non-technical person, and the Tools-Free Tilting leverages a patent-pending application of automotive brake pads and smart cable management that keeps the living space tidy, according to the company.

The #43 has a suggested retail price of $279, and the #44 has a suggested retail price of $319. Both are scheduled to be available this month.

Also introduced from Barkan is model #90, a streamlined projector mount, and Model #91, a projector mount with telescopic height adjustment. The mounts are meant as solutions for screening movies or presentations in homes or offices. Installation is completed with the company's three-step Quick Connect mechanism, and these products are engineered to be suitable for sloped ceilings, with plus or minus 25 degrees tilting and plus or minus 20 degrees leveling. A 360-degree rotation provides flexibility, convenience and optimal viewing pleasure, said Barkan in a release. Smart cable management provides a wires-free look from ceiling to projector, and theft prevention is enabled by optional Allen secure locking screws.

Model #90 has a suggested retail price of $79, and model #91 has a suggested retail price of $119. Both are scheduled to be available this month.
