Laserline Storage Intros Key On Soft Portables, Towers

Staff -- TWICE, 1/26/2004

A soft-sided portable storage collection from Laserline, introduced here at CES, fuses fashion with function. Made of 600-denier fabric, these Classic Portable bags are durable and water and stain resistant.

Available in solid black, or black with gray accents, from the Norwalk, Conn-based maker, the collection features 40 and 80 capacity CD wallets and 20 and 40 capacity DVD wallets. Products offer a mesh pocket on the front for added storage and the DVD sleeve increases storage by allowing users to store a DVD and liner notes together in one sleeve.

The collection includes the CD40CM, a CD wallet with mesh pocket, which holds 40 CDs ($7.99); the CD80CM, a CD wallet with mesh pocket which holds 80 CDs ($11.99); the CD160C, a CD album, which holds 160 CDs ($19.99); and the CD320C, a CD album, which holds 320 CDs ($29.99).

Others in the Classic Portable collection are the VIS12CBK, a CD visor, which holds 12 CDs ($4.99) and the VIS24CBK, a CD visor, which holds 24 CDs ($7.99). The CDP32CM, a CD/CD player case, holds 32 CDs ($9.99) and the DVD40CM, a DVD wallet and pocket, holds 40 DVDs ($10.99).

In Laserline's 6-SKU Black Wire Storage product category, also introduced here at CES, the company brings a "sleek, upbeat" look to its black wire home storage series. Made of 5-8mm steel, the product is said to be both durable and beautiful. It has an open-slanted design and knock down for compact packaging. The black product snaps together with no tools.

Three CD towers are in the Black Wire Storage line. The CD30MTWRB for 30 CDs, has a suggested $6.99 retail; the CD80TWRB 80 CD tower is $17.99; and the CD160TWRB, a 160 CD tower, has a suggested $27.99 suggested retail.

Three Black Wire DVD towers include the DVD120TWRB, which holds 120 DVDs, for a suggested $32.99; the DVD60TWRB, which holds 60 DVDs, for $19.99; and the DVD20MTWRB, which has a suggested $6.99 retail and holds 20 DVDs.
