8x8 Adds Voice Recording To Virtual Office

Santa Clara, Calif. — VoIP provider 8x8 continued to build out the capabilities of its Virtual Office small-business telephony solution with the addition of an audio production store.

The service, developed in partnership with message-on-hold provider Holdcom, lets Virtual Office users purchase voice prompts, voicemail greetings, or hold messages in multiple languages and dialects. The audio offerings will be available in Packet8's Audio Production Store

8x8 has shifted its focus from its residential service, which it continues to support, to its small-business solution that the company said currently services more than 8,000 firms. Last month it added a “digital courier service” through a partnership with YouSendIt.
