Jasco's Z-Wave Lighting Control Among CES Offerings

LAS VEGAS — Jasco Products showed at International CES an expanded line of GE brand Z-Wave home lighting controls and a number of accessories geared toward households with digital TVs.
The company calls its Z-Wave line it's "first complete system that enables users to wirelessly control lighting and small appliances in the home using revolutionary Z-Wave technology."
The controls feature eight key products: remote, advanced remote, lamp module, fluorescent light and appliance module, outdoor dodule, duplex receptacle, dimmer switch and three-way dimmer kit. They range from $44.95 to $69.95 and give users the ability to construct lighting and appliance control systems to meet their houselhold's needs..
The system can accommodate a network of up to 232 individual Z-Wave nodes.
Among the company's TV accessories was the GE Viper digital antenna.
The antenna, with HD3 technology, is optimized to receive digital television signals and designed to discreetly mount on the back of flat panel televisions or on the wall as a cable management solution. At less than 1 inch thick, the Viper adheres to the back of the television without interfering with wall mounts or additional peripherals.
It also features a cable channel, which allows the antenna to attach to the wall and conceal wires running to game consoles, DVD players and set-top boxes. The finish is paintable, so the consumer can blend the Viper into any décor.
It has a suggested retail of $59.99 and is a 2008 CES Innovations Awards honoree.
The GE Ultra Pro HDTV digital tuner converts off-air digital television signals for use with analog televisions. The tuner outputs 480i, 480p, 720p and 1080i resolutions, and includes an on-screen digital program guide.
To further enhance the DTV signal, the tuner supports Dolby Digital 5.1 channel surround sound, and includes HDMI direct digital output and universal IR remote.
The GE Ultra Pro HDTV digital tuner also meets NTIA standards for participation in the nationwide coupon voucher program. It will retail for $59.99.
Jasco's DTV accessories offerings are rounded out by a line of Ultra Pro HDMI 1.3 cables and adapters, including DVI-to-HDMI cables, switch boxes, splitters, repeaters, extension adapters, DVI-to-HDMI adapters and wall plates. They range in price from $12.99 to $99.99.
