CES 2009: Lenmar Shows PowerPort Hub
By Staff -- TWICE, January 8, 2009
LAS VEGAS — Lenmar is showing its PowerPort Hub universal charging station and PowerPort solar charger and battery during CES at booth 12848.
The PowerPort Hub universal charging station is the answer to the charging needs of a house full of portable electronic devices, as well as an efficient way for employees to recharge during a meeting, conference call, or even in the lunchroom, the company said.
A CES 2009 Innovations Design and Engineering Award winner, Lenmar's PowerPort Hub will simultaneously charge up to six mobile devices, including cellphones, MP3 players and PDAs. Its design means it can be left in plain sight so it's easily accessible. Users no longer have to find their charger and then plug it into an AC outlet; the PowerPort Hub is always there and ready to work.
The PowerPort Hub has two built-in USB ports that customers can use with cables they already have, and it features four cables that accept Lenmar's universal tips for their current devices, as well as new devices they purchase in the future. Included are tips that fit Motorola, BlackBerry, iPhone/iPod, Samsung, LG, and all devices that use mini-USB connections. Pricing and delivery info are available at CES.
Lenmar is also giving away a free Power-Port Mini portable device charger to attendees who visit the company's booth.
