British Brands Get New U.S. Marketer

By Joseph Palenchar -- TWICE, 7/16/2007

American Audio and Video has taken over U.S. distribution of the Roth Audio and Fatman brands of British high-end audio gear from Toronto-based BlueBird Music.

American will display the brands' products and new models at September's CEDIA Expo in Denver and intends to "build their business and brand recognition," said American business development manager Grant Baldwin.

The brands' portfolio includes tube amplifiers, speakers and iPod docks, including the $649 two-piece Fatman iTube Valve dock. It consists of a dock and companion 2x13-watt integrated tube amplifier. Fatman also offers die-cast-aluminum spherical speakers

Roth's selection includes the Music Cocoon MC4 integrated tube amplifier with onboard iPod dock.

American's main office and warehouse is in Plattsburgh, N.Y., but an additional warehouse is in Agoura Hills, Calif.
