H&B Ships BRAVO LCD TV Line

By Greg Tarr -- TWICE, 8/2/2006

New York — Premium Distribution, which markets A/V products under the H&B brand in the United States, is now shipping a new BRAVO Series of LCD TVs targeting more mainstream shoppers.

The series features two LCD TVs in the 32W-inch and 42W-inch screen sizes, both of which feature gloss black plastic bezels. The company continues to carry the step-up Aluminum Series, featuring solid aluminum bezel designs, also under the H&B brand.

Both models offer integrated ATSC/NTSC tuning, 1,366 by 768 HD resolution, HDMI and component video inputs and are built using LG Grade A sourced panels, said Gabriel Aivazov, Premium Distribution sales and marketing VP.

“We introduced this line to be compatible to other brands in this category such as Westinghouse and Syntax,” said Aivazov, adding that Premium will use the line to expand its distribution in AV specialty accounts.

The 32W-inch LCD-32WS carries a $1,299 suggested retail, and features a 1,600:1 contrast ratio, 8ms response time, side-mounted speakers and stand.

The 42W-inch LCD-42WS carries a $1,999 suggested retail, and also features a 1,600:1 contrast ratio and 8ms response time. It adds an integrated bottom-mounted speaker design and integrated stand.

Premium said it will introduce in October two additional BRAVO Series models in the 37W-inch LCD-37WS ($1,699 suggested) and 47W-inch 1080p LCD-47WS ($2,999).

The company has also expanded its line of H&B branded home theater cables with 12-foot runs for HDMI to HDMI, HDMI to DVI, DVI to DVI and component to component video connections. All will ship in September at a $39 suggested retail price, each.

Premium also reintroduced the H&B DTX-102 10.2-inch portable DVD player, which accepts multiple disc and file formats including MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-3, MPEG-4, JPEG and DiVX. It includes an SD card slot, USB port and comes with a remote control and carrying case.
