New Nav from Dual and Crimestopper

Dual Electronics and Crimestopper are launching new portable navigation systems with SecureDigital (SD) cards.

Dual's new NavAtlas is designed as both a handheld and in-car unit. It ships with full U.S. maps preloaded on a 1GB SD card. The company is using NAVIGON map software in order to achieve the compression necessary to store the maps. Also preloaded are 2 million points of interest. The touch screen XNAV3500P it is shipping now at a suggested retail price of $999.

Crimestopper's new portable navigation NavPro ships with different SD cards depending on the region, with preloaded maps for that particular region. Most of the packages will carry a suggested retail price of approximately $699.95, said the company.
