Jabra Intros Bluetooth Headsets, Speakerphone

By Lisa Johnston -- TWICE, 8/18/2008

Several Jabra Bluetooth headsets and a Bluetooth speakerphone are scheduled to hit store shelves this summer.

The Jabra SP700 speakerphone is engineered to allow users to play calls and listen to music from a cellphone on the car stereo via FM and Bluetooth transmission. Features include one-touch on/off and answer/end call, volume adjustment, battery- and call-status icons, and background noise reduction and echo cancellation with DSP technology. A night-driving mode eliminates any lights that may distract the driver, and it offers 14 hours of talktime and up to 255 hours of standby.

The SP700 comes with a USB charger, car charger and a visor clip. It has a $99.99 suggested retail and is scheduled to be available this month.

The BT530 Bluetooth headset is hailed by Jabra as the first product to feature Noise Blackout — "the new generation of noise-elimination technology" that's designed to get rid of background noise without compromising sound quality.

Other features include DSP technology, 5.5 hours of talktime, 250 hours of standby, dual wearing style with third-generation Jabra Eargel and flexible ear hook, dedicated on/off slide switch and intelligent volume control.

Scheduled to be available this month, the BT530 has a $99.99 suggested retail.

Constructed of anodized titanium, the JX20 Pura Bluetooth headset is recorded as weighing less than half an ounce. Features include "crystal-clear sound" with DSP technology, active noise reduction, acoustic shock protection, six hours of talktime and auto pairing. It comes with a desk stand with LED indicators on the front. Suggested retail is $149; it's currently available.
