NuVision Receives Equity Funding From Mitsui Comtek

By TWICE Staff -- TWICE, 2/28/2006

Scottsdale, Ariz. — NûVision U.S., a marketer of high performance Deep Black LCD televisions, said it has received equity funding from Mitsui Comtek, a Cupertino, Calif.-based operation active in the areas of digital display technology, semiconductors and wireless networking equipment. In addition, Mitsui has agreed it will provide strategic planning and development assistance to NûVision.

Aimed at the discerning consumer who expects great performance, customer service and sleek cosmetics, NûVision targets the CEDIA custom-install channel and high-end A/V specialty retailers. The NûVision brand and products are promoted and sold through select dealers nationwide.

Mitsui also is involved in the operation of telecommunications and telecommunication-related services including mobile, long distance, international and satellite communication.

NûVision said it has been successful during the first year of its existence developing and marketing its initial LCD product line. It said it has created a “solid” branding platform and an “attractive” business strategy targeting the A/V specialty/CEDIA segment, which the company believes has great long-term potential to thrive in today’s exploding HDTV marketplace.

Mitsui said intends to assist NûVision to gain greater market share with the right strategic alliances and business development assistance.
