Mobile Edge Unveils Monaco Notebook Case

By Lisa Johnston -- TWICE, 1/29/2007

Mobile Edge recently unveiled its Euro-fashion-inspired Monaco notebook case. Featuring a quilted microfiber exterior, poly-suede interior, stainless steel fittings and color-contrast stitching, the Monaco can accommodate notebooks with screens up to 15.4 inches.

It is designed to look nothing like a conventional computer bag, thus drawing less attention from thieves, but it offers a dedicated computer-protection compartment that reportedly cradles the notebook. A detachable cellphone pouch and removable matching cosmetics pouch are also offered.

The bag also features the company's proprietary Wireless Security Shield, which is a zinc-lined pocket that protects Bluetooth-enabled cellphones or PDAs from hackers by blocking out cellular reception completely, said the company.

The bag comes in two color-accented styles: the MEWCM6 features black microfiber accented with white stitching and a red poly-suede interior. The MEWCMX features pink stitching and a pink interior. Both carry a suggested retail of $99.99 and are currently available.
