Panasonic Viera Is Official HDTV Of Dem. Convention

Denver – Panasonic said it has once again opted to provide technological expertise to the upcoming Democratic National Convention, will take place, here, this week.
The Democratic National Convention Committee recently named Panasonic the Official HDTV and High-Definition Equipment Provider for the Convention, Panasonic said.
Panasonic said it will supply the DNCC with 200 Viera Plasma HDTVs, 52 HD camcorders and digital SLR cameras, 40 HD production monitors, two portable HD projectors and 100 Toughbook ruggedized laptops.
Among the HD displays will be three 103-inch plasma TVs, prominently positioned behind the podium on the convention stage.

With the nation’s digital broadcast transition on the horizon, Panasonic has been educating consumers about the joys and creative opportunities afforded by ‘Living in HD,’ evidenced by the immaculate and powerful pictures that will come from this first ever HD convention.”
“We’re seeing an intense interest in this convention from people all across the country who want to be part of the convention experience,” stated Brook Colangelo, DNCC technology director. “Panasonic is helping to enhance that experience by helping to bring the convention to viewers worldwide on TV, the Web and inside the convention hall in true high definition — a convention first.”
