DEI Licensed To Offer New ACDelco Items

Staff -- TWICE, 11/13/2000

VISTA, CALIF. -ACDelco is entering the remote start market, as well as the keyless entry and vehicle security categories, through a licensing agreement with Directed Electronics Inc. (DEI), based here.

DEI has licensed the ACDelco name and will offer four new products, de-signed and manufactured by DEI, to be sold through new car dealers.

The products include two RF remote systems: the Model 210D keyless entry and the Model 240D security and luxury system. Both have dual four-button remote transmitters, with icons for lock, unlock auxiliary and panic.

A third system-Model 215D-upgrades a factory keyless-entry system into a full security system with siren, starter kill and shock sensor.

Also new is a remote-starter interface, Model 251D, which adds remote-start capability to other ACDelco products and works with fuel-injected, automatic transmission vehicles only.
