Workman Joins Warrantech To Head Marketing

By Staff -- TWICE, 7/11/2005

Warranty provider Warrantech has confirmed that Dave Workman, former president/CEO of Ultimate Electronics, has joined the company as senior VP of marketing.

Workman will be responsible for exploring new distribution channels, expanding relationships with retailers, and increasing sales within Warrantech's existing customer base.

Steve Williams, consumer products services president, said in a prepared statement that the company is “excited to have [Workman] join the Warrantech team.”

“Retailers realize the importance of providing stellar service to their customers, and those customers are demanding protection of their expensive electronic purchases,” said Workman. “The dynamics are powerful, and my experience in the retail industry will develop stronger business alliances while I work to better serve Warrantech's growing customer base,” he said in a prepared statement.

Workman, 48, has more than 26 years of sales and executive management experience. In addition to his career at Ultimate he also was part owner in a company called Dakota Sight and Sound. Along with his work at Warrantech, he acts as a sector consultant for consumer electronics for Gerson Lehrman, an advisory council located in New York.

At the same time Warrantech formally announced that Everett Cole, former Panasonic executive who also worked for Ultimate, Costco, Good Guys and a variety of other well-known retailers, has joined the company as new business development VP. Cole, 48, started his new role at Warrantech during the spring.
