Dice Rolls Out HD Radio OEM-Integration

By Staff -- TWICE, 1/8/2007

Dice Electronics rolled into CES with a hideaway HD Radio tuner that integrates with a vehicle's OEM sound system through DICE-supplied vehicle-specific adapters, which also allow for iPod integration. The company is exhibiting at booth 6024 of the LVCC North Hall. The $199 HD Dice tuner plugs into vehicle-specific adapters that integrate with stock sound systems so tightly that users can change HD Radio stations using the buttons on the factory head unit or on the vehicle's steering wheel. HD Radio stations, including the multicast channels of select digital FM stations, are received through the vehicle's existing antenna. Vehicle-specific adapters are available for BMW, Toyota, Lexus and Scion vehicles, with GM and Honda support due soon, the Lake Tahoe, Nev.-based company said.
