Monster Unveils 3 Power Products

By Lisa Johnston -- TWICE, 5/7/2007

Monster Power is introducing three power products this week.

The high-definition PowerCenter HDP 2400 is designed to provide protection and increase performance of HDTVs. It incorporates the company's Monster Clean Power Circuitry Stage 2 v.2.1, called high-definition digital filters that are engineered to minimize the noise that HDTVs generate. It also includes T2 protection that reportedly monitors the line voltage and will disconnect it in dangerously high or low voltage situations, and then reconnect it when power returns to a safe level.

Other features include a digital voltage display that can be dimmed; a 6,420-joule rating; eight surge protected outlets; and phone, network and coaxial connectors. The suggested retail is $399.

The second introduction, Outlets to Go 3, is a solution for travelers who are never able to find enough outlets in hotel rooms. The product turns one outlet into three outlets, and its design and cord wrap feature are meant to make it easily fit in briefcases, purses and suitcases. It features a blue LED indicator in the plug that displays when the outlets are receiving power and the built-in circuit breaker can be reset. The suggested retail is $14.95 suggested retail.

The last piece, the HTS 1000 MKIII with Clean Power Stage ($199 suggested retail), is engineered to reduce electronic noise. It includes patent-pending T2 automatic disconnect/reconnect protection circuitry; a 6,125-joule rating; Tri-Mode Power Protection circuitry with audible alarm; a digital display that shows incoming voltage; eight outlets; and phone, network and coaxial connectors.

Monster recently teamed with Tzero to develop flat-panel TV installation solutions incorporating wireless video distribution.
