D&H: 120 Vendors Set For June Show

Harrisburg, Pa. — D&H Distributing said more than 120 vendors will exhibit at its Mid-Atlantic Summer 2009 Technology Trade Show on June 2 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center, Hershey, Pa.

Registration begins at 12:30 p.m., seminars start at 1:00 p.m., and the exhibit floor will be open from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. D&H said the show will attract more than 1,000 registrants, D&H said.

In addition to the show’s seminar presenters (Microsoft, Cisco, Intel, Hewlett-Packard and SonicWall), the event will be patronized by a long list of top-flight vendors showing their latest technologies, including Toshiba, Lenovo, Acer, Asus, Sony, Yamaha, LG and others, the distributor said.

D&H said recently added vendors to its line will attend, including Kaspersky Lab security, Rebit data recovery, Speakal iPod docs, Lifeworks peripherals, IZ3D 3-D gaming monitors, Brother Mobile portable printers, Fuse 101 cases, iFrogz iPod accessories, Sima accessories and Pinnacle Speakers. 

The afternoon includes a presentation from CompTIA, “Customer Service, Your Secret Weapon In an Economic Downturn,” part of D&H’s new “Better Business” seminar offerings. These sessions were created to help dealers, retailers, etailers and installers increase their efficiencies, so they may emerge stronger from a tight economy.

Also at the show, an Emerging Technologies Pavilion will single-out innovations from Canson paper, Clarion navigation, CyberPatrol Internet parental controls, Evolis plastic card printers, Keyscan scanners, Neat Receipts mobile scanners, NEC projectors and Ooma home VoIP. It has long been part of D&H’s model to support new technologies earlier than its competitors are willing to make the investment, in order to lead its dealers toward potentially lucrative opportunities. 

Separately, Emtec, a manufacturer of USB flash drives and accessories, today announced it will be carried by D&H and will exhibit at the show. Emtec’s line of products features USB flash drives, including colorful entry-level drives like the C250 Candy series and high-capacity storage solutions such as the C200 Pro series. The brand also offers a variety of memory products such as SD cards, MicroSD cards and Compact Flash cards.

Registration for the D&H event is free for D&H customers, as are all D&H’s trade shows. The event is a “selling show,” so D&H customers can take advantage of show-floor only specials, the distributor said. In addition, there will be a grand prize drawing of a 40-inch Sony Bravia 1080p HDTV.

“The economy not withstanding, dealers and retailers are still basically optimistic about their long-term futures, and our trade shows are designed to give them first-hand knowledge of the most strategic ways to generate that success,” said Mary Campbell, marketing VP for D&H Distributing.

“Cost-conscious, best practices seminars like the Better Business session are a terrific example of why we continue to attract important vendor and dealer partners to our events, even during struggling times. The practicality and strategy of our programs help drive our customers’ businesses forward, and dealers need this kind of assurance more than ever right now,” Campbell said.
