Sirius Will Ship New Sportster

New York — Sirius Satellite Radio announced it will begin selling later this month a new, smaller version of one its plug-and-play receivers, the Sportster4.

The unit is 40 percent smaller than the current Sportster Replay, as is the docking device, for installation in the car. It retains, however, a large six line scrolling display and rotary knob, said the company. Suggested retail price for the Sportster4 is $169.99.

Features include a memory buffer which can retain and playback up to 44 minutes of Sirius programming and a display mode to view sports scores.Also included are alerts when a favorite team is playing and when scores change or when a favorite artist or song is playing.
