Com One Bows Phoenix Wi-Fi/IP Radio For North American Market

Com One, a European technology company that provides Bluetooth solutions from any single source, makes its debut in the North American consumer electronics market with the Phoenix Wi-Fi/IP Radio during International CES at Bluetooth Tech Zone, booth 69834, the Sands.

The Phoenix offers premium sound and unlimited choices, enabling consumers to listen to virtually any radio station that streams online, any podcast or any Internet-based music source, with no computer peripheral, the company said.

The Phoenix Wi-Fi/IP Radio is fully portable and requires only a broadband connection and a Wi-Fi gateway for easy mobility in home or office. With integrated stereo speakers and weighing less than two pounds, the Phoenix Wi-Fi/IP Radio lets users customize preferences by bookmarking favorite stations and songs, and retrieve song titles and artist data from playlists.

Features of the Com One Phoenix Wi-Fi/IP Radio include alarm clock, eight preset radio station buttons and search mode, rechargeable batteries and integrated internal charger for portability, integrated stereo speakers and "spatialization" enhancer technology for digital sound quality, and the ability to plug into any hi-fi stereo system or headphones with analog outputs.

Other features include the ability to connects to any 802.11b/g wireless network with its Wi-Fi connection. No computer interface necessary; it allows for Bluetooth connectivity with adapter offered through Com One. Favorite songs and stations can be bookmarked for instant access, and it offers the ability to listen to missed shows with radio-on-demand or podcasts.

The Phoenix allows consumers to listen to MP3, WMA or uncompressed audio (WAV and AIFF) and supports Real Audio. The suggested retail is $249.
