SBN Attendance Climbs

By Amy Gilroy -- TWICE, 3/30/2009

The Spring Break Nationals (SBN), now under a single roof at the Ocean Center here, estimated spectator crowds this year at 11,000, marking the largest attendance in many years, said SBN founder Paul Papadeas.

During the event, held March 14-15, the world record for the IASCA idBL contest for sound pressure level (SPL) was broken by Craig Butler at an SPL of 181dB.

Industry meetings and seminars were also conducted during the event by brands including JL Audio, JBL, Memphis Car Audio, AAMP/Singer and AudioControl.

The dates for next year's Spring Break Nationals will be March 13-14 during the peak weekend of the spring holiday for colleges across the country.
