Peerless Offers Trio of New Mount Lines

Staff -- TWICE, 1/6/2005

Peerless Industries is debuting three new lines at CES — small universal aluminum LCD mounts, midsize universal flat-panel mounts and large universal plasma display mounts.

In support of the growing midsized flat-panel television market, Melrose Park, Ill.-based Peerless is offering a line of midsized universal mounting systems for 22-inch to 37-inch flat-panel displays.

With growth expectations in the 22-inch to 37-inch LCD market from 20 percent in 2003 to 80 percent in 2008, according to DisplaySearch, Peerless is coming out with three styles — flat, tilting and articulating. Each comes preassembled with all hardware required for ease of installation. The flat and tilting wall mounts are available in black and silver designs.

The universal flat wall mount RTFPF-220, at a suggested $89, features an ultra slim design where space-savings is key. It can be single- or double-stud mounted with horizontal screen adjustment. The universal tilt wall mount RTFPT-220 offers a self-balancing one-touch tilt mechanism that allows finger-touch screen adjustments. Suggested retail is $109. The RTFPA-220 universal adjustable, articulating wall mount, at a suggested $199 retail, features internal cord management along with one-touch tilt. The design folds up against the wall and can swivel up to 180 degrees on each side. The RTFPF and RTFPT have January availability, while the RTFPA will be available in March.

A new line of small universal aluminum mounts for small flat-panel LCD screens supports any display in the 10-inch to 20-inch size. These are available from Peerless in tilt, pivot and wall and side-cabinet adjustable arms in black/silver colors. Availability is March for the entire line.

The RTLT-2-100 tilting wall mount offers one-touch adjustment and ease of installation for a suggested $59. The pivot wall mount RTLPL-100 offers plus or minus 35 degrees of tilt and side-to-side swivel movement for viewing at multiple angles. Suggested retail is $99. The RTLA-100 LCD adjustable wall arm with internal cord management folds flat against the wall or extends out for TV viewing anywhere in the room. Suggested retail is $139. The side-cabinet LCD adjustable arm RTLAL-100 is the company's longest, at 18 inches, and most versatile option, and is best suited for larger locations such as a kitchen or garage. Suggested retail is $159.

Large universal flat-panel mounts for 32-inch and up screen sizes also come in black and silver. The RTFPF-320 universal flat wall mount, at a suggested $199, is available in January. The universal tilt wall mount RTFPT2-320, at $259, will be available in February. The RTPLA-UN7 universal articulating swivel, at $681, currently is available.
