Bosch Adds 'Green' Web Tool

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — Bosch has added a Green Resource Center to its customer Web site at that addresses the energy consumption concerns of consumers, builders and architects.
The one-stop destination offers such unique tools as an energy savings calculator that computes the annual energy costs and savings for individual Bosch appliances, and a localized rebate finder to help customers take advantage of available Energy Star incentives.
"We know that gathering information on the latest environmental programs and products can be overwhelming," said Bosch president/CEO Franz Bosshard. "By making it easier for people to see the amount of money and resources they will save with our appliances, home owners and builders will be able to quantify the value of choosing Bosch whether they are installing them in a single home or a whole development."
The Green Resource Center is divided into different sections for Bosch's various markets. For example, the trade section simplifies the process of securing appliance credits for a host of environmental certification programs including LEED for Homes, Earthcraft House, BuildingGreen and the Santa Monica Green Building Program.
