Fagor, Leibherr Expand Distribution

LYNDHURST, N.J. — Fagor America and Liebherr Refrigeration have forged new distribution deals to expand their North American footprint.
Fagor, here, which imports a full line of high-peformance and eco-friendly kitchen and laundry products from its corporate parent in Spain, has partnered with Signature Marketing in the Northeast and Excel Distribution in the West and Southwest.
Signature Marketing, a distributor of specialty domestic appliances, offers a next-day quick-ship program and an in-house service department for installation, maintenance and parts support throughout the New England and Mid-Atlantic states. Excel markets, sells and distributes specialty high-end majaps in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada and New Mexico.
"These agreements strengthen the distribution channel Fagor uses to support our dealers and value added resellers, complementing our overall customer service offering," said Sara De La Hera, sales and marketing VP for Fagor America.
Liebherr, which offers a wide selection of German-made built-in, freestanding and fully-integrated refrigeration and wine storage units, has expanded its relationship with Almo, the independent Philadelphia-based CE and majap distributor. The new agreement extends Almo's Liebherr territory to 32 states, including the first-time markets of Nevada and Arizona.
"The high-end appliance market has seen explosive growth over the past five years [and] Liebherr has been our flagship line, bringing style and green technology to the gourmet kitchen," said Almo president Warren Chaiken.
Almo supports Liebherr through its nationwide specialty appliance division, which also distributes Bertazzoni ranges and cooktops, Capital cooking equipment and grills, FCI wall ovens and cooktops, and Faber ventilation products.
