Microsoft: 1 Million Zune Sales By June

Redmond, Wash. — Microsoft said it is on a path to sell more than 1 million Zune MP3 players by June 30, the end of its fiscal year.

"We're confident that this level of performance will build credibility for Zune in the category of digital music players," a company spokesman said.

Microsoft claimed these results show that the company will be a long-term player in the market, particularly what they have been achieved so far with only one core model.
