Gentec Eases Phone Battery Replacement

MARKHAM, ONTARIO — Accessories products maker Gentec International is launching a patented packaging concept for its line of Electrohome cordless phone batteries.

The packaging, which features the Plug Matching System, offers a "unique" design that provides consumers with all the information they need to make the correct purchase. It includes a color photo of the battery plug, along with the matching system.

Consumers can plug their existing cordless phone battery into a cutout on the package to confirm the plug configuration and ensure the correct polarity of the wires. There is no need to open the package.

Gentec is making available Electrohome cordless phone batteries for virtually every major brand of cordless phone on the market. Suggested retails range from $19.95 to $29.95, depending on the phone model.
