Griffin Adds RoadTrip For iPhones
By Staff -- TWICE, 12/1/2008
NASHVILLE, TENN. — Griffin Technology made available the RoadTrip with SmartScan for iPhones late last month.
The RoadTrip with SmartScan is designed to send music wirelessly from an iPhone or iPod to a car's stereo FM system, and it plugs into the vehicle's cigarette lighter or 12-volt accessory socket to charge the user's iPhone or iPod while it's playing.
The company's SmartScan technology searches the radio dial for the three clearest frequencies and automatically programs them into preset buttons, said Griffin. Built-in RDS technology displays track information on RDS-enabled car radio displays.
It's currently available for a $99.99 suggested retail.
