Andrea Electronics Launches BT-200

BOHEMIA, N.Y. — Andrea Electronics launched its PureAudio Bluetooth noise- canceling headset, model BT-200, last week. The BT-200 features the company's noise-cancellation boom microphone technology and can be used with most cellphones and PCs, according to the company. They are available for an $89.95 suggested retail.

SouthWing Teams With AT&T For VoiceInfo

CHICAGO — SouthWing announced that is has teamed up with AT&T to deliver AT&T's VoiceInfo service to SouthWing's SH241 Bluetooth headset.

"By combining the SouthWing SH241 headset with any AT&T Bluetooth-enabled cellphone, users merely press a pre-set button on the headset and immediately hear their desired news updates," said SouthWing in a statement.

AT&T's VoiceInfo service is billed as a way to get free information on several topics, ranging from finance to weather.

The SH241 can be worn without or without the ear hook and boasts seven hours of talktime, four types of ear buds, a variety of call features and three interchangeable covers. Suggested retail is $39.99.

Sonic Innovations Introduces SonicBlu

SALT LAKE CITY — Sonic Innovations, a manufacturer of digital hearing aids, has introduced SonicBlu, a wireless communication device that enables users of the company's hearing aids to wirelessly connect to Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones.

The SonicBlu has a listed talktime of up to four hours and a standby time of up to 70 hours. Operating range is billed as up to 10 meters. The device's rechargeable lithium-ion battery has a charging time of 1.5 to two hours. Suggested retail is $239.
