Ipevo Spun Off, Launches Online

By Staff -- TWICE, 9/24/2007

Internet phone manufacturer Ipevo will sell its products on its own online store, the company said.

Ipevo products include Skype-certified phones, USB speakerphones and other Internet telephony-related gear. The new store is located at http://store.ipevo.com.

The company has also revamped its corporate site, www.ipevo.com.

Ipevo was spun off last month from PChome Online, a Taiwanese Internet portal. The company will retain corporate headquarters in Taiwan, where it claims one in four people, or 6 million, are registered Skype users.

The company incorporated its design consulting partner xrange into a single entity, which Ipevo said would increase the speed at which it could develop, test and market new products.

"The separation from PCHome Online provides a great opportunity to strengthen our brand, deepen our relationship with customers, and focus on our core strengths in developing innovative and functional internet devices," said Royce Hong, Ipevo CEO.
