Mobile Communications Accessories Line Debuted By Iqua

By Staff -- TWICE, 1/30/2006

A new line of mobile communications accessories, called Iqua and created by award-winning Finnish designers, made its debut at International CES, held here earlier this month. It was said to be a “unique fusion of technology, function and style — taking Bluetooth to a new level.”

Products unveiled from the new company included the Iqua Snake, a hook device made of sleek black leather and brushed aluminum. With this, users can attach devices to the headrest of a car seat and adjust these for height with the product’s flexible neck mechanism. Suggested retail is $299, while the Snake 2 is $149.

The Iqua Smart Badge is a compact, stylish device that combines identification card holder and wireless call management. Suggested retail is $120.

The Iqua UFO is a portable Bluetooth hands-free conference device with a tabletop design that provides a convenient solution for wireless communication and managing calls when users have group and one-to-one conversations. Suggested retail is about $150.

The Iqua Bluetooth wireless headset has been created for active people who appreciate style in addition to practicality, mobility and ease-of-use with the option of personalization with changeable colored faceplates. Colors include blue, red or a black-and-white design to match a mobile phone style preference. Suggested retail for the Iqua BHS-301 headset is $49.

“Our aim is to satisfy the need for flair and fun in wireless accessories,” says Iqua’s Juha Reima, CEO of the Espoo, Finland-based company. “Consumers and business users want style in addition to functionality.” All products are expected in retail stores by the end of the first quarter.
