Sirius To Become Standard On Mercedes

New York — Sirius Satellite Radio announced that Mercedes Benz will begin offering its service as standard factory equipment on select 2007 model year vehicles, beginning in 2006.

Previously, Sirius was offered either as a factory or dealer option on Mercedes vehicles.

Initially, Sirius will be standard on SL-Class and CL-Class vehicles and all AMG and 600 model vehicles, with others to be added in the future.Vehicles installed with Sirius will account for approximately 50 percent of Mercedes Benz vehicles sold over the next two years.

Sirius announced in late October that it extended its agreement to provide service to DaimlerChrysler (including Mercedes Benz) through September 2012.
